CASTING NEW YORK & FLORIDA
Magic Show Assistants, Technicians and Stage Hands.
Seeking enthusiastic, hard-working people to join our highly acclaimed, 5-star reviewed West End Show Jamie Allan’s AMAZE, to join our residency in New York with preliminary run in Tampa, Florida! Cast members will be required to sign 1099 independent contractor engagement agreements. Applicants must have a valid US work visa.
The Straz Center, Tampa, Florida
Date: April 26th - May 11th 2025
Travel and accommodation in Tampa will be provided.
Off Broadway, Midtown, NY
Date: July 7th 2025 onwards (open-ended contracts six months+).
Must be able to work locally (based in New York area).
POSITIONS AVAILABLE
MAGIC CREW
Ideal candidates will have a dance background.
A magic background would be helpful but not essential.
Requirements:
Female or female identifying.
Approx. 5'6" height.
Able to work at small heights (on stage and backstage).
New York based.
PLAYBACK TECHNICIANS
Familiarity with Avolites lighting desks & digital sound desks is beneficial (training provided for right candidate).
Experience in West End/Broadway/high-level theatre preferred.
Requirements:
Diligence and accuracy essential.
QLab experience.
LED wall operation experience is a strong advantage
Position involves managing technical aspects of a live theatre production, ensuring seamless integration of sound, video, and lighting with MIDI using QLab software. The role may involve managing video playback and synchronization with other production elements.
STAGE HANDS
Strong individuals over 5’10” to assist onstage and behind the scenes. This role involves supporting the magic performance and moving props. Front of House responsibilities may also be included. Experience in theatre or live events is a plus, but we welcome anyone eager to learn and grow in a fast-paced environment.
Additional Details:
Minimum 5 shows per week, with potential for more.
Show days - Wednesday through Monday.
Dark Tuesdays.
Matinees at weekends, and some weekdays during the holiday seasons.
1099 engagement agreements for Tampa FL begin April 26th 2025.
1099 engagement agreements for New York begin July 7th 2025. Six Months rolling contract.
Contract lengths will vary depending on the role.
Selected Candidates will be required to sign a Confidentiality Non-disclosure Agreement to protect the propriety of the various methods and technologies used in the show.
